Today we're so excited to share with you a few photos from one of our favorite recent shoots! Baby Evan was recently adopted from Korea, and we were asked to photograph this beautiful new family. I came armed with a few Korean phrases I had learned from a friend- but it turns out that Evan didn't quite recognize Korean coming from a person with an American accent. Luckily Natalie and I discovered that Lady Gaga and the Black Eyed Peas can bridge all language barriers- as soon as Evan's parents put some music on, he began to dance and have a ball!
We had a deja vu moment when we first arrived and saw that mom Laura was wearing a necklace from none other than Designs by Yan! You might remember that earlier this year we photographed some of Yan's work. Laura was wearing the first piece that we featured in that post- a bird's nest of wire with three pearl eggs inside. Laura told us that her necklace represents her own beautiful nest of three. What a small world!
