Thank You Interns!

Today we wanted to take a moment to tell you about a couple of very special people who came into mine and Natalie's lives this summer: Cam Kramer and Megan Serrano, both high school seniors at Honeoye Falls-Lima.

As part of HF-L's curriculum, many students are required to complete an internship. We've worked with HF-L frequently in the past taking on interns, and have had really wonderful experiences with the program. Since we'd had such good experiences in the past, we knew that this summer's interns (Cam and Megan) would do a good job. However, we soon found out that "good" was underestimating them. Both Cam and Megan absolutely blew us away with their hard work, dedication and enthusiasm.

Both interns were reliable, energetic and so much fun to work with. Cam was fantastic at anticipating Natalie's needs while helping on shoots, and his cheerful demeanor made him the new best friend of every client we had this summer! He also knows how to tie a necktie- a skill that is surprisingly vital in the world of senior portraits (a skill Natalie and I should probably both learn sometime before next summer...).

Megan brought a more quiet, calming energy to our shoots that really put us and our clients (especially children) at ease. While Cam asked lots of questions on shoots, Megan was more of a quiet observer. Towards the end of summer, Megan created a Facebook page to display some of her personal work- and we were blown away when we saw how much she had grown in her photography. Turns out she really had been watching and learning from us the entire summer! We couldn't be prouder of her hard work and growth.

Alas, Cam and Megan had to go back to school in September- and when they left Natalie and I realized just how much we'd come to rely on them. We'd become used to seeing one or both of their smiling faces nearly every day this summer. Cam and Megan: a million thanks for all your help this summer. We think the world of you both and know that you guys will go on to do amazing things. Don't forget your Aunties Kelly & Natalie ;-)
